The whale on the label is reminiscent of the sea, which once covered the lands in Emilia Romagna. Noelia Ricci, after whom the winery was named, was the visionary woman who saw the land suitable for a winery. By honoring local traditions focused on native grape varieties, Ricci's family tradition has been passed through generations. The wines pay tribute to the classic style, with a contemporary approach; fine in structure with a strong personality & complexity, while maintaining an inviting approach & pursuing drinkability.

Noelia Ricci is a small CRU set on a hillcrest with South East exposure, at a height of 200 to 340 meters above sea level in San Cristoforo. The winery is based on the model of classic and well-kept vineyard management, the fruit of age-old and deeply rooted experience. Noelia Ricci’s vineyards represent a tribute to the local winegrowing tradition, as they are exclusively planted with native varietals Sangiovese and Trebbiano. The winery is increasingly committed to environmental sustainability, with soil management based on cover cropping and the greatest attention paid to the plants’ wellbeing and harmonious integration with the environment. Vineyard care and maintenance is performed by the winery’s staff members, who know The winery has been converting to organic farming since August 2018.
The whale on the label is a reminder of the winery's orginial terrior (land). The soil and climate of Predappio still stands as a constant reminder of its roots to the sea. The vines are effected by te winds sweeping from the Adratic Sea and the elevation is also a factor - making any seafood based dish a perfect pairing! This wine is a great transitional wine because it can be enjoyed on a warmer summer day or a chilly fall night!
